The 2019 BMW M2 Competition replaces the current M2 coupe.
With a 6-cylinder engine producing 405hp and 406 lb/ft of torque, the M2 Competition launches from 0-100 KM/h in 4.2 seconds with the automatic transmission, but of course, you can enjoy the car as it’s meant to be with a manual transmission. The M2 Competition can be fitted with an M Driver’s Package which raises the top speed to 280 KM/h from 250 KM/h.
The BMW M2 Competition’s exhaust notes are achieved via a dual-branch design that features four tailpipes finished in black chrome. Two electronically controlled flaps enable the M2 Competition to deliver a distinctive BMW M sound and can be adjusted via the driving mode by the driver.
While having all that power, noise and excess are great, sometimes a simple little 2-series is just fine. If you enjoy the aesthetic of the M2 Competition but don’t want to drop the dollars required to have one, or maybe you don’t want the extra valances, low ground clearance or extra mess of an M car, the 230 xDrive is a wonderful alternative offering the same form-factor and good looks.
