Since the first hint of the Baccarat Hotel & Residences in New York I have been following it’s development. From the epic lobby and the crystals that will fill it, to the expansive hotel suites and enormous and exquisitely appointed residences – the Baccarat Hotel & Residences has fascinated my imagination and my aspirations.
With an opening date of March 2015 The Baccarat Hotel & Residences New York offers exclusive, and subtle luxury in a magnificent glistening tower with unique and impressive character.
This property is more than a hotel or residence, it’s a piece of art. A fabulous and gorgeous piece of art.
The Baccarat Hotel, New York
At 46 stories the glass tower designed by architects Skidmore, Owings and Merril (SOM), glistens in the sunlight. With residences making up the upper portion of the property as well as a museum. The understated luxury is evident before even entering the hotel with a small ‘Baccarat‘ at the door to tell you where you are – as if you didn’t know.
Interiors by Paris firm Gilles & Boissier and the restaurant, Chevalier, by Stephen Sills – the delicious property is a accumulation of subtle sophistication and in my eyes, perfection. When it comes time to build my own home, these are the people I will be calling.
Tasteful and mindful splashes of crystal adorn guest rooms in the form of sconces and chandeliers continuing the crystal extravaganza you’ll see throughout the hotel.

The 61 residences at the Baccarat Hotel are as, or more epic than the hotel itself. Commencing from the 18th floor with units starting at 932 square feet and up to over 7000 for the penthouse, prices from $2.8 million to $60 million, there is a 1, 2, 3 or 5 bedroom suite to meet everyone’s needs. The list of fine materials and items is too large to go into here, if you’re lucky enough like I am to have obtained original marketing materials you’ll know what I’m talking about.
With a standard ceiling hight in living areas and bedrooms of 10’8″ and 14′ on the top four floors, you will be able to see and feel the expansive views from any room from the floor-to-ceiling windows with North/South exposure.
Custom kitchens by Tony Ingrao and fabulous finishes like Ebonized Walnut, granite slab countertops, and custom glass and mirror interlaced backsplash, there is no shortage of unique and wonderful features to bring a grin to your face whilst having your morning espresso.
Radiant heated floors in the master bathroom and Lido white honed marble floating vanity with slab floors and walls will encapsulate you in warm marble while you ready yourself for the world. Master baths allow one to indulge with a 70 inch free standing Victoria & Albert “Barcelona” Soaking tub with Fantini Plano floor mounted faucet.
